Christmas in Bali! and ‘Tis the season to be jolly, and what better way than to get into the happenings on the island for the holiday season.

Christmas in Bali

It’s a little bit cooler, and a little bit merrier on the island, and the spirit of Christmas has finally arrived in Bali. With tourists flocking in for the holiday season, many places have their Christmas events ready, and it’s all waiting for you!

Do you find yourself celebrating the holiday season on the island? There’s so mant Christmas offerings around, you just have to know what you want to do! Then you can choose from an array of activities such as lounging by the beach, spending the day partying in a beach club, having a lavish dinner, shopping, or enjoying a relaxing day with the whole family.

Here are 5 ways you can celebrate Christmas in Bali:

Christmas Lunch by the Sea

You know Bali is all about the beaches, and lucky you as you get to sit by the sea and enjoy the view and the breeze while celebrating this season altogether in one!

Spend the day along Seminyak beach, or in Kuta beach, whichever you prefer! Anantara Seminyak and W Seminyak are two well-known spots on the island along the Seminyak coastline, and they’re keeping their doors wide open for a festive celebration this Christmas.

Have a splashing day by the sea while enjoying some food and drinks with family and friends. W Seminyak is a luxury resort with a world class dining spot, Starfish Bloo where a seafood buffet awaits on Christmas day, accompanied with music from the resort’s top DJs. Meanwhile, Anantara Seminyak is hosting a bountiful brunch complete with sumptuous Christmas favorites from around the world.

Not to worry if you’re not a Seminyak fan, there’s also resorts in the more quiet side of Nusa Dua and Sanur or a more hipster spot in Canggu’s beachside.

Spend the Day in a Beach Club

When you think of Bali, partygoers know that beach clubs are the places to hit for a fun day on the island. And since it’s really the season to go all out, some of Bali’s most happening places are opening up for Christmas!

If you’re up for a bikini-clad Christmas, head over the Uluwatu and either go down to Sunday’s Beach Club for a special festive menu amidst sparkling white sands. Then, there’s OMNIA DayClub, featuring their twelve-day Christmas shindig happening on the Uluwatu cliff tops. It’s going to be a party marathon, so bring your A-game on for some hardcore dancing marathon!

Christmas dinner

Make your way from lunch to dinner, as Bali offers an array of Christmas dinners for you and your special one. Whether traditional or Ibizan-style, the options are there to choose from!

Another beach club spot opens for a sunset dinner, Cafe Del Mar Bali is offering a sophisticated, sharing-style dinner with their Dine and Delight event. Expect servings of prawn-stuffed barramundi, roast chicken with black garlic stuffing, and many more! Yummy!

For a more traditional option, try the Christmas Roast Dinner at Jemme, Seminyak’s prime dining spot, with their three-course traditional Christmas roast that comes with all its delicious trimmings–roast turkey, beef or pork with creamy cauliflower cheese, roast potatoes, brussels sprouts and even cranberry and bread sauce.

Christmas brunch with the kids

We know, we know… what about the kids, you ask? Well, there’s also plenty of options for them! While almost all of the Christmas brunch, lunch and dinners have options for kids, there are also places on the island that are kid-friendly, where the little ones can jump around, swim and enjoy with other kids!

Make your way to Prego for a fun Christmas Brunch featuring all of your favourite festive treats, including a delicious buffet of Italian fare with a feature of live grill and much more from the Prego chefs. And of course, plenty of interactive activities for the kiddos. Expect lots of fun and games in the Prego garden. Find a magician, a balloonist, photo opportunities with Santa, live music and a tug-of-war for adults.

Shop for Christmas gifts

Christmas is the time for gift-giving, and what better way to share the season’s festivities than to shop for gifts for your loved ones. And so, another way to get into the holiday vibe is to go Christmas shopping!

Whether near or far, you can send gifts to your family and friends around Bali, by visiting www.giftblooms.com where gift hampers are arranged and sent to the person you want to send a gift to. Shop online and look for Bali Platter and In the Mix Bali for some cheese and cracker packages or Christmas sweets, perfect for gift-giving or to share on the Christmas table!
