Sanur
Sanur is a well-known destination in Bali for its spectacular sunrise views. Located on the eastern side of the island, Sanur offers a tranquil atmosphere a world away from the busy neighbourhoods of Kuta or Seminyak.
Find a relaxed and easygoing vibe coupled with quaint local charm, Sanur accommodation is found along the long beachfront stretch as well as along the bustling main street parallel to the beach.
Accommodation, a wide variety of restaurants, shopping boutiques, spas and activity centres are found on the main road, a great way to book a fishing trip, snorkelling, diving or any other water sport activities that suits your fancy.
If you’d like a beachfront spot, we recommend you stay at Fairmont Sanur or Hyatt Regency. Both offer five-star luxury service and lodging, allowing a worry-free honeymoon with royalty treatment, an unforgettable experience.
For a more charming abode found along the main road, look at Maison Aurelia and you will find a rustic space truly fit for love and romance. Walk around hand in hand while you explore places to eat and to pamper you and your love along the coastline and the main road.
Seminyak
Right off the bat, know that Seminyak is far from our first two suggestions. Seminyak is the epitome of the Bali party scene it’s most famous for. And so, if you honeymooners enjoy a wild night out, then this is your place. Find clubs such as La Favela, Motel Mexicola and ShiShi Club and Bistro for a night of drinks and dancing.
While pubs like The Forge and Cornerhouse for nighttime drinks and food. Cute and themed restaurants like Nook, Boy n Cow and Mamasan are also there for palatable pleasures, so you and your partner will never get tired of exploring your love for each other and for food while in Seminyak.
A famous resort in the Seminyak is Royal Bali Beach Resort, located on the renowned Seminyak Beach, the legendary 125 room Royal Beach Seminyak Bali is set within beautiful tropical grounds.
Canggu
Canggu is most definitely one of the hottest destinations in Bali at the moment, attracting the hip and young crowd of hipsters and surfers enjoying the island lifestyle. From surfers, digital nomads and yogis, Canggu is about 10km away from the touristic Kuta area.
With the charming and laidback character of Canggu, honeymooners, especially the young and young-at-heart, are sure to enjoy a variety of restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world.
An amazing abode along the Batu Bolong beachfront is Como Uma Canggu, sitting on Bali’s southern coast, with panoramic views over the ocean. Embodying the surf beach spirit, the hotel serves up fresh seafood on the wood-fired grill and healthy juices at the beach-style bar, with some of the island’s best surf breaks just footsteps from the door.
Munduk
Quite, underrated, and surreally breathtaking, Munduk is one of Bali’s most appealing mountain retreats. With a cool misty ambience lined with lush hillsides, there are a number of waterfalls to be found all over the area. Different hikes and treks will make you feel like the only two people on the island, while you enjoy the best of what nature has to offer.
There are a lot of really nice options when it comes to places to stay, from summer homes to retreats where you can submerge full-on into the local culture.
One particular honeymoon spot is The Clove House in Munduk, known as “the island in the sky” – a real gem for all those looking to enjoy the tranquillity and amazing beauty of mother nature in a unique and comfortable mountain hut.
Lovina
Lovina Beach is a resort area found on the north coast of Bali. Known for its black sand beaches, coral reefs and dolphins, Lovina is a romantic honeymoon destination offering peace, tranquillity and a simple island experience. Find places like The Banjar Hot Springs with its warm water pools with natural sulfuric water from the mountains or take a sunrise trip to the sea and watch the dolphins swim.
If you and your partner fancy beachfront simplicity, opt to stay at Lilin Lovina Beach Hotel located right in front of Lovina Beach. Equipped with cute individual bungalows with private plunge pools, it’s the perfect spot for you and your beau.
West Bali National Park (Gilimanuk)
Another underrated destination in the northwest coast of Bali is Gilimanuk, where the preserved West Bali National Park is situated. Its unspoilt beauty comes with lush green forests, picturesque mountain range and crystal clear blue water, and is home to over a hundred species of wildlife and is about 50km away from Bali’s central Denpasar
West Bali National Park has a total area of 19,002.89 hectares, covering 15,587.89 hectares of land and 3,415 hectares of water.
Gilimanuk is known as “Bali’s Western Gateway,” is the port area which ferries between Java (Banyuwangi town) and Bali. It’s a 4-hour drive from Kuta and only 2 hours from Lovina. It’s a beautiful and scenic drive up there, so come here if total isolation is in your mind.
Stay at Plataran Menjangan for romantic lodging, with a complete offering of different activities like kayaking , snorkeling , diving, horse riding , cycling, and trekking to name a few.
Amed
Feel in love every single second in Amed, Bali’s eastern shoreline known as an underwater playground, attracting a crowd of divers, close to Tulamben, another dive site 25 km to the north.
Amed Beach has become a favourite among divers, particularly in the area of Jemeluk Bay. A strip along this coast that spans 7 different seaside villages: Amed, Jemeluk, Bunutan, Lipah, Selang, Banyuning and Aas, all villages, a surely scenic view of Bali’s simple island life.
Stay at Amed Lodge, a uniquely rustic designed space to complement its natural surroundings with seven charming cottages.
Nusa Lembongan
Nusa Lembongan is an island located southeast of Bali, Indonesia, a part of the Nusa Penida district comprised of three main islands. There are three Nusa islands: Lembongan, Ceningan, and Penida. Lembongan is the closest to Bali and also known as the most popular, followed by the smallest island which is Ceningan, and the biggest Penida.
Imagine a private island on your own, find a completely isolated island which can be reached via a 30-minute fast boat from Sanur. There are many homestays and resort to stay in for a night, two or a week, and we recommend staying in Bamboo Bungalows, a hidden treasure overlooking the see.
Gili Islands
The Gili Islands are three archipelago of islands known as Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air from northwest of Lombok, Indonesia.
The islands are a tourist destination with several resorts, usually consisting of a collection of huts for tourists, a small pool and restaurant. The biggest and busiest of the three is on Trawangan. For total peace and quiet, automobiles and motorized traffic are prohibited on the islands by local ordinance, so the preferred method of transportation is by foot and bicycle or the horse-drawn carriage called a cidomo.
In Gili Trawangan, stay in Hotel Ombak, a beachfront abode perfect for the honeymoon couple.
